July 31, 2015 — Market Strategies International surveyed 1,000 adults who use at least one fitness tracking device, app or telehealth service to explore intersections of health and technology to determine what benefits, if any, emerge from the convergence. We expected that wearable users would report increased activity, and we found exactly that: Eighty percent report increased physical activity. We also found more generalized positive health effects—six in 10 say they have improved their eating habits, and about half says they are more aware of or more empowered to take control of their health.
